This is reminiscent of the stages of grief.
I don’t recall going through anything like it, though. For me, it might be more like an “aha” moment.
After years of being told I’m “too sensitive” I finally know that it’s not abnormal, just different from the majority.
I’m aware many mental health professionals are shying away from labels, but I embrace them. It helps to know there’s a name for what I experience and that others are in the same category as me.
